Marcia Zakarison, MD

Dr. Marcia Zakarison, 50, of San Juan Island died unexpectedly March 5, 2007 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham.

She is survived by her husband Tom Schultz and two children Alaina and Emily.

Dr. Zakarison served the community as a physician and Medical Director at Inter Island Medical Center in Friday Harbor. She was the Medical Program Director for all of San Juan County Emergency Medical Services.

The commissioners of San Juan County Public Hospital District #1, the physicians and staff of Inter Island Medical Center, and the staff of the SJC EMS extend their heartfelt condolences to her family and the community.
