Senior EMT  Tom Eades, BA, EMT-B, WEMT

Tom came to San Juan Island in 1988, to answer a job opening in Dispatch at the Sheriff's Office. Besides an accomplished EMT, Tom also serves as our Disaster Preparedness Officer.

A native of Oak Harbor, he grew up in Renton and spent four years in Pullman at Washington State University, where he graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1983.

Tom's been an EMT with EMS since 1990, and a volunteer firefighter since 1988.

His passion is flying: since obtaining his Private Pilot Certificate in 2003, he has logged nearly 300 hours of time in the air, receiving his Instrument Rating in 2005.
