Public Information Officer and HIPAA Security Officer Alan Roochvarg

PhD, EMT-B

Alan first volunteered as an EMT in Pennsylvania. He came to the San Juan Islands on vacation eight years ago.  After retiring from the computer industry, he and his wife Lynn moved here permanently.

Alan serves as our HIPAA Security Officer, making sure that our medical records are safely and securely stored. He is also our Public Information Officer, having been trained at the Washington State Department of Emergency Management.

Alan is also a National Disaster Services Volunteer with the American Red Cross.
