Director of Education Lainey VolkEMT-B, WEMT
Lainey is a long-time islander and EMT with EMS. In her youth she assisted her father, an MD, in the Flying Samaritans programs in third world countries, she became certified as an EMT then attended nursing school. Lainey leads our efforts in injury and accident education and prevention here at San Juan Island EMS. She has received numerous awards for her efforts in heading up our public education campaign, teaching thousands in CPR and first aid, and coordinating our car seat and helmet program.
