EMS OfficersOur career and volunteer officers are selected for their experience and expertise in the various areas of oversight needed within San Juan Island EMS.Apparatus maintains operational readiness of our District apparatus. Communications assures the ongoing effectiveness of scene based operations communications. Flight assures the ongoing effectiveness and safety of our fixed wing BLS transport program through Island Air Ambulance operations. HIPAA Compliance assures adherence to the strictest standards of patient confidentiality and medical records accuracy. HIPAA Security assures the highest available security for personal medial information and sensitive records in physical and electronic formats. Injury Prevention works to offer community based educational opportunities including CPR, first aid, and our helmet and car seat programs. Additionally, most of the grant application process is also handles here to offer these services without tax dollars being utilized. Marine oversees the off-island rescue and water based transportation safety, education, and risk management program of all water based operations. Public Information works with the media and related new agencies to maintain accurate and appropriate information about operations and rescue activities. Safety coordinates our efforts across disciplines to assure the utmost safety in all aspects of our operations. Supply maintains adequate and appropriate levels of needed medical equipment. Technology coordinates researched devices, systems, and tools which enhance our ability to provide safe and effective patient care and operations. Training coordinates the initial and ongoing education of our EMS personnel to the highest standards. |
