Office Manager

San Juan Island EMS is hiring an Office Manager. The ideal candidate will be well versed in all aspects of organizational administrative operations with proven ability to work independently. Major responsibilities include coordinating all financial transactions including, AR, AP and Payroll; coordination of all personnel benefits and documents; public relations including preparing newsletter and press releases and general administrative office organization. Minimum qualifications include 4 years of professional administrative work experience or college degree, an understanding of general accounting practices and high proficiency with MS Office 365, Windows 10 and web-based applications. Pay range begins $25-$27 an hour plus a generous benefit package.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

San Juan Island EMS is seeking a fifth fulltime EMT to serve as a “flex EMT,” a role that is designed to allow time off for other staff EMTs and provide extra coverage. Staff EMTs are required to give at least 60 days’ notice for time off, so the schedule should be reasonably predictable, and is eight 24-hour shifts per month. This union position offers full benefits, retirement, and paid time off. Pay starts at about $50,000 per year and is paid hourly. Outreach Assistant / Community Paramedicine EMT

San Juan Island EMS is seeking a Community Paramedicine EMT and Assistant to the Director of Outreach. This position will work a regular schedule at 40 hours a week, will assist with outreach programs, provide Community Paramedicine support to patients in their homes, and backfill on 911 response for critical calls and concurrent calls. Must be certified as an EMT, able to drive or be trained to drive an ambulance, and pass a background check and drug test.
