Graphic photos – click image below to see the gallery. EMTs in training learn the anatomy and physiology of the human body. Part of this unit includes the dissection of a pig and sheep’s lungs and heart to have hands-on experiences with the course work. A pig is used because it has the closest anatomy to a human. Dissection allows our EMTs in training to gain crucial experience with implementing important medical skills and learning about internal and external body parts.
