Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is the perfect course for those who enjoy various outdoor exploits like hiking, kayaking, traveling into remote areas, or live on outer islands. Great for first-timers.
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) is the perfect course for those who enjoy extended and remote hiking, guiding, counseling, kayaking, traveling in remote areas, or live on outer islands.
The curriculum for the WEMT expands the scope of practice for most EMT’s. The material is presented at a higher level and includes the adaptation of ambulance and advanced equipment for use in remote environments. Emphasis is also placed on rapid assessment and evacuation skills.
Wilderness EMT Refresher is a 16 hour re-certification course. Course locations vary throughout the San Juan Islands, each utilizing a combination of classroom time and trips throughout the island wilderness to put your knowledge into an experiential “classroom” on the trail.
